SUNDAY STYLE DESIGN: 1/15/23

January is often a time to reset, your mind+style. Whether you take a day or 31, being intentional is key. In Texas, there is not much style downtime as Rodeo Season begins, one of our fav times to style. As colorful and bold as you know us to be, we do love to explore our winter mood and go for black in January. Black creates a chic foundation to add your winter accessories to. Think gold jewels and fur. It also keeps things simple after the Holiday season of sequins.

Here are a few of our favorite looks for January.

THE DAILY DESIGN:

The word that comes to me in this look is fresh. I love purchasing a full outfit as it looks more put together, which makes you feel put together, who is with me on wanting more of that! Whether fashion or function, these two pieces are versatile and transitional.

THE CLASSIC DESIGN:

The word that comes to me with this look is simply elegant. I love the black foundation under the blazer and skinny heel. I did a show at Veronica Beard and fell in love with their look. Classic with an edge. I am far from traditional but believe that classic pieces are the easiest pieces to grab without overthinking. I scored my first VB blazer, in a fire engine red color, of course, and grabbed it over and over again during the Holidays. I paired it with Alice+Olivia Sequins and Zara Turtleneck Sweaters, from cocktail to casual.

THE BOLD DESIGN:

You be you. This is us.

The word that comes to be here is YES QUEEN. The oversized hat. The fringe. The sequins. The jeans with embroidery. Everything. Yes, this look is what excites us the most. Rodeo season is here. What do we wear? We suggest taking one of the following elements to pair alongside your boots, jeans, and hat:

Sequins, Fur, Fringe, Suede, Leather, Turquoise.

We prefer to combine all of the above but we are here for you and your personal style design.

THE ACCESSORY DESIGN:

JEWELRY:

This is where we come in. As you know as our customer, we learned to accessorize from an early age. We were solely responsible for our Elementary School setting up guidelines on accessorizing. I wore gummy bracelets up to my shoulder! That being said, before we started designing our own jewelry, we have amassed quite the collection. We love it when our customer combines our Gold and Turquoise treasures with their existing collections, fine+fashion. That is what we will focus on with your jewelry design.

SHOES+HANDBAGS:

Personally speaking, I describe my style as "off brand" My daughter, recently turned 16, and went on a special trip to Paris. She grabbed my "vintage" bags that my parents gifted me in my early 20's and set off to conquer the Parisian streets with my small Prada and Louis Vuitton purses. This led me to appreciate the luxury fashion houses in a new way. I want to be more in tune with both the Pillars of Fashion alongside the Fresh Faces as I architect my own Style Design and Yours.

THE VINTAGE DESIGN:

This will be fun. One of the main reasons we would call our style, "off brand" is because 75% of our closet is "Mimi's Label"...aka, our beloved grandmother's collection of furs and caftans from travels around the world. Our favorite stores are vintage stores. This is where individual style can be expressed as we find "one of a kind pieces" to add to your Style Design. I shopped A Current Affair with a friend when they showed in Roundtop. This was her first go at Vintage treasure hunting and she loved it. She rocked her individual style design by adding pieces that are unique to her closet. No matter what your Style Design is, we will defintely be adding some Vintage Design. This January, let's start with fur. faux or real, it is a must.
